Subject: Channel numbering
Hi Tom.

I think you might have missed my latest question with the large volume on the forum.

My question is that I just would like to see a table that shows the appropriate channel numbering for given output devices (steppers, BLDC, etc), on given axes, with given Kflop and input device options. Yes, a table is there for the Snap Amp, but if I add channels on the Kflop itself, I have no idea where to start, especially now that the Snap Amp and Kanalog are present as options.

I am really worried that if I try to change anything beyond just the two axes that I will be using now, that just trying to figure out channel numbering by trial and error is going to lead to damage. I really cannot justify risking a $900 investment on that approach.

I am willing to build the table myself if you'll provide the clues as to where to look, I am just not sure how to construct it at present.

Thanks.

Hi Erik,

If you think you have a better way to organize all the options that would be great.  Please construct such a table and we will verify it for correctness.

For the table on how to connect and configure things for a SnapAmp see the table under SnapAmp:

There are two tables on how to connect Step/Dir drives to KFLOP, multiplex options,  and configure all the possible modes here:

Kanalog DAC servos is straightforward just specify the DAC to use.  See JP11 here
